The Hilton Hotel is one of the most recognisable landmarks in Manchester due to its unique structure and eye-catching shape. It is seen by many to be a little ostentatious and grandiose; but you cannot deny that it is striking, contemporary and fascinating.
If you travel by public transport to get into the city centre then you can see the Hilton come into view from miles around as it is commanding and impressive and other buildings seem dwarfed in comparison.
The North West is full of interesting edifices; as Liverpool has the spectacular Liver Building and the Winter Gardens in Blackpool plays host to countless corporate events and university balls. Getting dressed up to the nines for cocktails and canapés at the lavish Cloud 23 bar is an absolute must if you are taking a trip to the home of the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Oasis; as you have to look the part if you want to make heads turn for all the right reasons.
Situated on the 23rd floor of the hotel (hence its name), this amazing drinking den is a far cry from the more traditional watering holes dotted around Deansgate; so you really have to take advantage of the breathtaking views which span the entirety of the region.
