Sheridan Lifts, the story so far….
Sheridan Lifts opened back in 1979 by Stanley Sheridan, with Littlewoods being their main (and current) customer and it is now become one of the most successful lift companies in the UK. In 1994, Tony Sheridan, son of Stanley took over the business who at the time, received a £170,000 turnover.
Tony joined as a young 18 year old lad who watched his father grow and develop the business. He started off as an apprentice and worked his way to the top to become the Managing Director. Although Tony was Stanley’s son, he received no special treatment and wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Now we’re in 2012, Sheridan Lifts have hit a £4m turnover, as well as open up a “Sheridan Academy” to train up young lift engineering apprentices and give something back to the community. These apprentices will be trained by our current lift engineers and given the opportunity to work on existing projects.
Sheridan Lift’s specialise in a number of lift services including, maintenance, installation, repairs and new lift installation. We’ve won big contracts from multinational blue chip companies including large construction companies, in which we currently have an exciting project in place. Sheridan Lifts are thrilled to be working with construction company Anglo Holt Construction, where we will be teaming up to install a new scenic lift with a glass shaft for the new Land Rover visitor site in Solihul.
2013 has already hit high hopes for us with a turnover that is set to smash 2012 and we have bigger, exciting contracts set in stone.
