It’s another successful lift installation project for the portfolio!
Working in partnership with Gartec Lifts, engineers have recently fitted this rather attractive glass platform lift at Meridian Quays at Greenwich Peninsula on behalf of our end client Losberger de Boer.
A brand-new venue for music and concerts in South East London, much fanfare is expected when the Meridien Quays facility opens its doors. It will accommodate 4,400 people and is set to rival the O2 as a serious gigging venue. If word on the street is to be trusted, you can expect some pretty big name guests in what is a commanding position at this Isle of Dogs address.
The need for a platform lift was identified at the venue by our client and Sheridan Lifts were selected after the usual tender process.
Working with our platform lift service provider Gartec Lifts, the chosen lift comprises a fully patented screw and nut drive function providing a quiet and green solution to cater for disabled guests, where no separate machine room, pump box or housing for hydraulics is required.
Housed within a self-supporting enclosure, the lift is one of the most durable products on the market and will provide welcome relief for its users.
Naturally the site is not complete yet but the images above give you a bit of an idea about how works are progressing.
Commenting on the project, Stuart Cooper from Gartec Lifts says
“Initially I was approached by Inga and Nick requesting a proposal for a platform lift on this site. Alongside the quotation, Nick had also asked for a site-specific drawing to help assist the sale which I was more than happy to provide.
“A couple of months later and the order was secured and after a couple of variations the lift was put into production and just a few weeks later installed. As with all jobs, it was a pleasure working with Joe and the Sheridan Lifts team on another successful installation”
