A luxury housing development fronted by a gated entrance in the heart of Peterborough city centre is the site for one of our latest lift installation jobs.
Our engineers have installed a 1000KG Kleemann traction firefighting lift here on site and are nearing project completion and handover. This is a passenger lift giving residents access to the upper floors of these new deluxe and stylish apartments.
You may have heard in the news that Peterborough in Cambridgeshire is one of the fastest growing cities in the UK. Well, it is also noted as being the first Gigabit City offering a full fibre Gigabit network with super-fast connectivity. Now, being something of a luddite, I must admit that I don’t fully know what a Gigabit network entails, but it certainly sounds good!
This development runs alongside a wider £12m investment programme which has transformed Cathedral Square which sits at the heart of the city, providing a host of new restaurants and retailers. Conversely, Peterborough was recently named as the second-best performing city in the UK for jobs growth. Seems like it has a fair bit going for it.
