“When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.”
Last year, Manchester United suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Athletic Bilbao, and trudged off the pitch, disappointed and disheartened. Unfortunately, it was not their lucky day in any respect as they were to encounter another hugely cringe-worthy incident due to a faulty elevator. Passers-by heard strangled screams coming from the ground and alerted security at Stretford immediately, as they thought that there was something seriously wrong. Six catering staff at Old Trafford were stuck in the lift for no more than 30 minutes maximum, but they did not half create one hell of a fuss! After they were eventually freed by the local lift maintenance crew they desperately rushed outside to get some fresh air, gulping like gluttonous goldfish. It might have seemed like a lifetime when they were held captive, but they should have just remained cool, calm and collected under pressure like their sporting heroes. I mean; would you see Eric Cantona, Georgie Best or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer panicking unnecessarily and getting all worked up over nothing? Of course not! Sure, they had their moments (let’s not even talk about the ‘Kung-Fu’ episode which occurred when United played Palace all the way back in January 1995), but for most of the time they were professional, diligent, stoic and hard working.
Eric the King may have had a few crazy ideas; and he came out with some corking quotes; but they seem to make a funny sort of sense, in a way. It’s a bit like Chelsea’s uber-talented boss; Jose Mourinho; stating that he was the ‘special one’ and having this prophecy ring true when they dominated the Premier League in the 2004/2005 season, putting rival sides to shame. Here at Sheridan Lifts, we do not have the gung-ho arrogance of this super-confident individual, but what we can promise is excellent lift installation and maintenance services at an affordable price. Old Trafford has undertaken a little bit of a facelift in recent times; what with an eye-catching statue of Fergie being erected before he sadly stepped down from his managerial position; but maybe the stadium could benefit from more lift maintenance work if staff and team members are to travel in a safe and secure environment.
Lift installation and servicing ensures that everything is in perfect working order as machinery has to function productively, without any hitches or complications.
