We here at Sheridan Lifts are very pleased to announce the successful installation of the first of four fully automated service lifts, now found at 1 Mabledon Place in the heart of London. As a multi-million pound project that we were all too happy to be a part of, and one of the most business crucial projects we have ever undertaken, we thought it was definitely worth a blog post!
The four lifts are state of the art dumbwaiters showcasing the very latest technology, and they’ve been designed by way of a highly bespoke process in order to perfectly suit all the needs of this high-end research laboratory. The lifts will prove to be business-critical and under a constantly high demand, so it was essential that our team was able to provide dumbwaiters able to take the stress of a constantly heavy load without a problem.
With the very latest in smart technology going into each lift, the dumbwaiters are sure to prove big successes. Couriers in the capital can place samples on the lift’s upper conveyor, and the innovatively designed processes at work will utilise that technology to instantly identify which floor those samples need to be delivered to. From there, the lift automatically sets about transporting its cargo to where it’s needed, and is capable of both unloading and dispatching for collection of the operatives on that particular floor. Needless to say, it does all of this automatically and autonomously, leading to an incredibly and consistently smooth operation even on the busiest days.
What’s more, we have it on good authority that Sheridan Lifts was the only company that proved bold enough to develop this idea and go on to put the design into production.
