Following building plans submitted by our client Miller Homes in Stretford, we are hoping that builders will soon be on site transforming the former Itron gas meter factory on Talbot Road, Stretford close to Old Trafford.
The factory has been empty since its closure in 2016 and this development news will come as a welcome relief for residents. The brownfield site will see the old factory demolished and a bespoke collection of modern urban homes built in its place, regenerating the area and providing a vibrant new community to entice people in.
282 new homes will be built on the site by this award-winning housebuilder and Sheridan Lifts are the chosen lift company selected to provide a core lifts package at the development.
We will be installing the following on site:
– One six stop passenger lift
– Three five stop passenger lifts
– One four stop passenger lift
All elevators will be 630kg lifts sourced from our core supplier Kleemann Lifts in Greece.
Commenting on the development, David Brackley, Technical Director at Miller Homes North West said:
“This is a very exciting time for Stretford with the ambitious masterplan set to truly transform the area into a desirable and sought-after location for living, leisure and learning.
“The Itron site in Stretford will become a stylish development of contemporary new homes, complementing the wider masterplan”
Homes will vary in size and style on the site, with 91 two to four-bedroom houses and 191 studio and one to two bedroom apartments ideal for young professionals and investors. These homes will blend seamlessly together creating an architecturally pleasing outlook.
Along with Calderpeel Architects, some of the other consultants involved in developing the proposals in Stretford include GL Hearn Planning Consultants, TPM Landscape, SCP Traffic Consultants and Hydrock Consulting.
We look forward to getting on site in Stretford soon.
