Providing a brand-new community hub at the heart of Barnsley, the development is expected to bring around 25 shops in total complete with up to 500 car parking spaces. The town centre’s existing multi-storey car park was demolished at the end of January with much of the rubble being kept on site and recycled to use during the next phase of the re-development.

Think retail stores, cafes, restaurants and leisure pursuits to really modernise the town. The indoor market will be fully refurbished whilst new shops will be added behind it on Lambra Road along with a bowling alley and cinema.

So how are Sheridan Lifts involved?

Well, we have been employed to install passenger lists across numerous different zones of this far-reaching regeneration site. We’ll be installing lifts at the multi-storey car park as well as throughout the brand new Cineworld cinema complex and within the Superbowl UK bowling alley. We will also be installing lifts within several of the retail spaces and service areas on site.

This work is still in the planning stages of development and we will bring you more news right here on our blog once the project is underway, with regular updates assured!
